Awara offers two models of their mattress: the Natural Luxury Hybrid and the Premier Natural Luxury Hybrid . They offer the six traditional sizes of mattress for you to choose from; Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and California King.
The mattress itself is 10 inches thick, which is thicker than most foam mattresses. The bottom is made from 8 inches of individually wrapped contouring coils with Thick Gauge Edge Support for the main support for the bed. It is wrapped in a soft outer cotton perimeter with four handles.
Overtop of the coils lays a two-inch layer of organic latex foam derived from real rubber trees. It’s weird to think of a bed made from rubber as being comfortable but latex has a bouncier effect instead of sinking like memory foam. This layer not only helps to make the mattress bounce back but also to keep your body cool. If you are a hot sleeper this mattress does a good job at regulating body temperature.
These two main layers are then covered in a soft and plush Quilted cover with GOTS-Certified organic New Zealand wool under a rayon blend made from bamboo.
